Electric and Magnetic Therapy
We are electric beings. We measure EKG’s to evaluate heart function and EEG’s to evaluate brain function. The water in our body is composed of many electrolytes. Electrolytes are either positively or negatively charged metallic ions. These include sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, etc. Because of these electrical charges electrolyte solutions are susceptible to surrounding magnetic fields.
Magnetic and electric therapies have been used to help the body heal for a long time. The Chinese have used lodestones on acupuncture points going back to 3000 BC. Permanent magnets were used in Europe in the early 1800s.
Because of the charges our electrolytes have they govern what enters and leaves our cells which is the precise mechanism that maintains a healthy cell. Our constant exposure to toxins in our modern world leads to our cell’s inability to maintain an overall healthy negative charge. This is due to daily exposure to pesticides, poor quality processed foods, chemicals that behave like hormones in our body, along with constant bombardment by electromagnetic fields from cell phones, Wi Fi, microwaves, etc. all of which are inflammatory. Our cell’s ability to function begins to fail as they become more positive and the chemical processes in the cells slows down and becomes less functional. Our immune system begins to break down and the cell becomes susceptible to entry of toxins and infections. The body can no longer efficiently heal itself and the end result is insomnia, fatigue, diabetes, heart disease and more “modern” diseases like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic lyme, etc. Ultimately we now see an epidemic of autoimmune disease, and ultimately abnormal cells turn to cancer as they no longer die appropriately due to this immune dysfunction.
Now we have the scientific understanding to explain the ancient observations that electrical therapy and magnetic fields effect our body at a cellular level and can be used to stimulate healing. Magnetic fields have a healing effect on our body’s chemical reactions and electrolyte movement. The overall effect is a return of normal electrical potentials and the proper net electrically negative charge our cells need to function efficiently. Fundamental cellular processes are restored to normal function and healing can begin.
